On Saturday 17th May, Brian took on the Anfield Abseil and descended 100ft from the roof of the famous Anfield Stadium, home of Liverpool Football Club.
The abseil was all in aid of raising money for the Lancashire based charity, Rainbow Hub.

Rainbow Hub, a charity based in Mawdesley, Lancashire, provide support & therapeutic services for children & young people with physical disabilities as a result of a neurological condition or brain injury.

It was an amazing experience, and I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t nervous at the start. But it was all for an amazing cause – with a group of amazing people.
The team at Rainbow Hub are lovely and I can’t wait to do another event like the Abseil! Who knows, maybe I’ll go a few feet higher and take on a Skydive next time.

In total, a group of 15 supporters took on the challenge to help raise vital funds for the charity by braving the heights, facing fears and taking in the views before making the 100ft descent down from the roof of the iconic Anfield Stadium main stand, passing the famous Liverpool crest on route.
Through sponsorships, donations and fundraising efforts – the group have collectively raised over an amazing £4,800 – with some donations and sponsorships still coming in!
I’ve spoken with the team over at Rainbow Hub about my plans to help raise even more vital funds – and I can’t wait to share those plans very soon.
The work these people put in to help make a difference to so many lives and families is just incredible! To think that this charity can be supporting up to 80+ families a week is just crazy but it just goes to show the level of determination and passion these volunteers, staff and supporters have towards the work they do.

Although the event has now been completed, people can still make donations via the links below.
Thank you to everyone who donated, sponsored or attended my charity FUNDRAiSE through MUSiC event to help me hit my fundraising target goal!
But it doesn’t stop here, as every penny or pound this charity receives from donations really is going towards helping make a big difference to so many people and families.
